Meet the Doctor!

I am so glad you're here! Thank you for taking the time to visit my site, I hope we can get connected soon.

I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas State University and am also a Certified Personal Trainer.

I grew up playing many sports and spending many hours outside. My favorite ways to move my body and nourish my mind include going on walks with friends, riding bikes with my husband, playing sand volleyball, running, swimming, hiking, and doing yoga outside.

When asked what I wanted to do for a career, I would always answer “I just want to love people.”

I played college volleyball and along the way learned about how even athletes can experience unfortunate outcomes due to decreased access and education about healthcare services.

When I entered the healthcare field as a physical therapist in the hospital and clinic setting, I was excited and passionate about helping people. However, I was met with systems, policies, and models that did not allow for an optimal patient experience. Of course I tried to still provide high value care within these models, but quickly realized that this type of care was at conflict with my beliefs.

I knew that people were worth more than what the standard healthcare model could provide. So, I took matters into my own hands to start Flourish, in order to better meet the needs of patients.

I have experience working in orthopedic settings, geriatric care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, outpatient neurological rehabilation programs and sports rehabilitation. I love getting creative and helping my patients get back to what matters most to them.
